Today we take on the letter G. What does the letter G have to do with Success and Prosperity? G is for Goal Setting, Gratitude, Giving and Great Books. Let’s look, shall we?

GOALS. One of the most important factors in achieving success, setting goals is something that HAS to be done. There is no argument that can be acceptable. Setting goals is like having a very detailed map for a trip you are taking into a country you’ve never visited before. Without a map, or your goals, you won’t know where to go on your trip or in your life. You’ll wander around aimlessly, having neither purpose nor fun.

Goals must be specific, detailed emotional and set in the Present Tense. Above all they must have emotion attached to them. Feelings give power to all of your dreams, desires and goals. Without feelings, goals are just empty wishes. Here’s n example of a good, emotional goal. “I’m so happy and grateful now that I am earning $10,000 a month in residual income, allowing us to create a more comfortable and entertaining life for me and my family.”

GIVING. Give until it hurts, both financially and emotionally. Giving is like loving. You cannot do both enough. Be generous with your time, money, expertise and experience. Become the person people can always count on for advice, knowledge, a helping hand and even some emergency cash if needed. Put no strings upon your giving. It must always come from the heart.

Giving will always assure that what you give will come back to you many times multiplied if given in Love. Don’t hesitate to give or be afraid that you’ll give away the last of your money or your time. Give from the heart and your life will become richer beyond your dreams.

“Always Give without remembering. Always receive without forgetting.”
William Barkely

GRATITUDE. Gratitude goes hand in hand with Giving. Heart felt gratitude for all of the people you know, for all of your gifts, for all of your opportunities, for all of your health, and for all of your wealth will guarantee that more of the same will pour into your life.

In short, give daily expression of gratitude for Everything. It’s been said that gratitude is the spark that ignites a Great Life. Gratitude can also be thought of like manure. It can sit in a big pile and stink up the place, or it can be spread around and help produce Life. The choice is yours.

GREAT BOOKS. Reading takes you places where you’ve never been, and builds upon the places you’re already at. Today there are literally thousands of books to help you succeed, or to learn any subject that comes into your mind. From languages to SEO to Astronomy to Cryptozoology to how to make a tuna melt sandwich, the knowledge of the world is at your fingertips. Don’t like to read? The same subjects are available in audio and video formats. There’s no longer an excuse for not being able to learn something.

MY GREAT BOOKS CHECKLIST. Here is a list of some of the books that have made the most impact on me. They are in no particular order, and I would hardily recommend reading all of them. It is by no means exhaustive, or I would be here all day. They should be in any public library, if you don’t have the money to buy all of them.
